Functieomschrijving / Job description

The Sales Executive is an integral part of the company’s service delivery chain. The Sales Executive supports the company at large by directly supporting the Business Development Director through sales, administration functions and indirect to the Managing Director of CIBT Benelux. Focus is mainly on the corporate segments including legalizations and based on getting new sales (prospects) on board, account profile set-ups, exhibiting, management maintenance and client reporting.

The general duties of the Sales Executive include but are not limited to the following areas outlined below. In addition to these, ad hoc duties and projects may be assigned by senior management.


  • Acquisition of potential clients
  • Connect with new customers, new industries, new regions and new products
  • Preparation of proposals
  • Set up agreements
  • Conduct presentations about CIBT client solutions
  • Accurate reporting, generate weekly and monthly volume reports to review and identify any client progress
  • Implement accounts using relevant documents (agreements and enrolment forms)
  • Create account files for all relevant documents
  • Establish and maintain accurate account profiles to positively impact the service delivery chain
  • Update account records in the CRM tool
  • Attend and prepare materials for tradeshows, travel events during the season
  • Strive to achieve yearly company growth targets
  • Focus on increasing unit growth per account
  • Introduce new CIBT products
  • Identify new service needs/ideas generated by clients and communicate to relevant person

Service Excellence

  • Retain all current client accounts by regular calls, emails and potential client visits
  • Analyse client needs and identify/create best option-solution
  • Set up (customized) client portals
  • Serve as the escalation handling and tracking point for client/account management escalations and take care of complaints
  • Maintain knowledge of available client reporting resources and coordinate client reporting needs
  • Schedule and conduct training for clients who fit the criteria for training benefits


  • Supporting all operational teams with clear communication to ensure smooth implementation
  • Liaise with the administration department to coordinate all commission payments periodically
  • Communicate on new accounts and account changes with all relevant teams ensure smooth Implementation


  • Create and maintain organized files for all relevant documents and written correspondence such as service level agreements, enrolment forms, and contracts. Maintain spread sheet of contracts.
  • Maintain a spread sheet of accounts and issue rebate reports Global Diversity
  • To work with professionalism, honesty and integrity maintaining confidentiality

Functie-eisen / Skills & experience

Person Specification (E = essential, D = desirable)

  • Bachelor Degree or other relevant Academical background (HBO/NHTV) E
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant sales (tele) experience with excellent track record
  • Excellent commercial, marketing and organization skills E
  • Strong MS (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) office skills
  • Results Driven E
  • Proven ability to work in a team E
  • Strong Dutch and English language skills, written and verbal E
