Functieomschrijving / Job description

Due to the expansion of the Offline Sales Team – Europe, Oman Air is looking to attract an Account Manager Sales for the offline markets in Europe and Americas. The Account Manager will be working in close cooperation with the Manager Offline Sales and the Sales Coordinator Offline Markets to ensure the respective markets are further developed.

The position will be based at the Oman Air Regional Office Europe in Amsterdam (Schiphol Airport).

Brief Description:

  • Managing GSA relationships in close coordination with the Manager Offline Sales
  • Develop and grow a portfolio of corporate, government and / or travel agent customers through professional account management & development, identifying customers need and developing win / win scenarios through effective negotiations skills to avoid revenue dilution
  • Liaise with corporate and agent customers to frame incentive programs and agreements in order to ensure maximization of business partnerships and build strong customer base
  • Lead acquisition and follow up with global corporates/agents
  • Develop Commercial Sales Plans tailor made to each offline market
  • Assisting and preparing with contracting of corporates and trade agreements
  • Identify opportunities in several markets through usage of Business Intelligence tools
  • Managing and coordinating ad-hoc projects related to offline sales
  • This position requires 10% international travelling

Functie-eisen / Skills & experience

  • Holder of a Bachelor’s or Academic Degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales and marketing position within the airline industry.
  • Experience in aviation terminology.
  • Fluent in English both verbally and in writing. Arabic will be considered an advantage.
  • Independent and pro-active attitude.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience in an international work environment.
  • Team player
